One Less Family Member

Well, on Monday, June 29, 2009, Rick, Sarah, and I drove Tyler into town to catch a shuttle to St. Louis to begin his basic training with the Army National Guard. He stayed in St. Louis all day on Tuesday. We received a call from him on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, informing us that he was 30 minutes from Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Now he is in Kentucky to begin his basic training. I was very surprised today to receive a call from Tyler. He said he had a few minutes to call home to let everyone know that he is doing fine. It was great to hear from him. I am very proud of him. He has become a great young man. Below are some pics that I took on Monday before he left.

Beautiful Day to be Outside!

Last Sunday, June 7th, we celebrated Evan's First Holy Communion. All the nieces and nephews on my side have completed their holy communion and the sacrament of penance. After we had Evan's festivities, Rick, Tyler, Sarah and I went to our farm. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy the beautiful, warm weather. Like always, I had my camera and took some pictures. Hope you enjoy viewing them. I have some of Evan and the other pics are at our farm.

Memorial Day Weekend/High School Graduation Celebration

Well I haven't been very creative with my scrapbooking, but I did get a lot of pics from our Memorial Day activities. We celebrated our friend's daughter 's high school graduation along with visiting with everyone we haven't seen for a while. The kids rode go-carts, four-wheelers, and also rode horses. A good time was had by all. Below are some pics from last weekend:

Mother's Day Gathering

We invited our families to our farm to fish and grill burgers and brats. We all had a good time. The weather held out so we could fish a while but it started getting cooler by the time we ate supper. Below are some pics from our gathering:

Happy Mother's Day!

Kelli did it again---she created a beautiful card and posted how-to directions for that card. You can find Kelli on the AMR message board or her blog Yard Sale Kind of Luck. I decide to take a stab and try to make that card for my mom and mother-in-law. Below are the two cards:

Below are some pics from our farm. I love lilacs, dogwood trees, and springtime. I will have to figure out how to incorporate these pics into my scrapbooking pages.
